The challenge is to mashup your two favorite mashups! That's like a mashup squared!
I am mashing up Challenges FM1 and FM14. From FM1, I am using butterflies and from FM14, I am using flowers and vintage. Is this a mash up cubed? Click here for a list of the last 199 challenges.
I have been dying to make another journal. I thought a vintage feeling journal would be perfect!
I stamped two flowers and a butterfly from the Nature's Perfection stamp set (a new Sale-a-Bration product 139100). I colored one flower with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities and the other with the Calypso Coral Blendabilities. I fussy cut them (it was quick and easy, mostly straight lines). I colored the butterfly with Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities. I wanted the purple color to be Blackberry Bliss, but unfortunately there's no Blendability set in that color. What to do? I colored first in the darkest shade of Wisteria Wonder and then colored over it with the lightest color of Rich Razzelberry. It was a perfect match! I punched out the butterfly with the Elegant Butterfly punch (127526).
I wanted a flowery banner down the side to give it a vintagey-feel (think Granny's curtains). I colored in the flowers from the Park Lane DSP (133694) with the same Blendability colors.
This is perfect for coloring. Makes me feel like a kid again!
To add to the vintage feel, I sponged Crumb Cake ink (126975) on a White Tea Lace Paper Doily (129399). I used the the Hello You Thinlit Dies (137363) to cut the word "Hello" out of Blackberry Bliss Card Stock (133675). I tied some linen thread around the front cover of the journal (104199) and I'm done!
Who should I give this to??
Fun Challenge!
Joyful Stamping,
Elizabeth
