I like the sound of a Color Throwdown! Seriously, I'm from the South, who here doesn't love a good throwdown? And a color throwdown? Sounds like something right up my alley!
Red, navy, turquoise, and khaki. (I'm pondering an outfit for Monday in these colors!)
I'm using Stampin' Up! colors: Real Red, Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, and Sahara Sand.
Flowery Hello!
I stamped the Hardwood stamp (133035) in Baked Brown Sugar on the Sahara Sand card stock to add some visual interest. I stamped Blended Bloom (135906) on Whisper White card stock with Crumb Cake ink and colored it with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities. I colored in the middle with the Baked Brown Sugar Stampin' Write Marker. Then I outlined each petal with the Stampin' Chalk Marker (132133), I outlined the middle also and added dots to the center.
I stamped the diagonal striped stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set (130517) in Night of Navy and added a strip of Natural Chevron Ribbon (132982). I cut out the words "hello" and "You" from Real Red card stock using the Hello You Thinlits Dies (137363).
I moved the flower and words around a bunch of times and finally settled on this arrangement. I thought that the flower could use some umph, so I added a few pearls (119247) to the center of the flower.
I love this color challenge! It really made me stretch myself. At first all I could think was nautical, but I pushed myself to do something different. What do you think?
Joyful Stamping,
Elizabeth
